FOR THE ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTE R27 SECTIONS 10 TO 11 BETWEEN GROOT LEMOENKOP WEST (KM 60.634) AND KEIMOES (KM 74.614) AND NATIONAL ROUTE 14 SECTION 4 BETWEEN KEIMOES (KM 0.0) AND OLYVENHOUTSDRIFT (KM 22.554)

TENDER NOTICE

CLOSING DATE:  Friday, 06 June 2025

Damians Contractors Civil invites experienced EME and QSE Targeted Enterprises to a tender briefing session for Contract SANRAL X.005-041-2022/1SC7-SC10 for the Routine Road Maintenance of National Route R27 Sections 10 to 11 between Groot Lemoenkop West (km 60.634) and Keimoes (km 74.614) and National Route 14 Section 4 between Keimoes (km 0.0) and Olyvenhoutsdrift (km 22.554).  The project is in the Khai! Garib Local Municipality within the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province.

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Khai! Garib Local and ZF Mgcawu District Municipalities, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract package.  This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system.  Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

1. B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor.
2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
3. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
4. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

5. Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and
6. Tax Compliant.

Note to Tenderers:

1. Damians Contractor’s Civil) will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.
2. Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.

TENDER BRIEFING

Compulsory information briefing meetings and a training session will take place at the Congregational Church, 5 School Street, Kenhardt, 8900 on Friday, 23 May 2025. For CIDB 1CE to 2CE at 10h00 am. Where prospective Tenderers shall meet the Contractor.

Tenderers must be represented at the information compulsory briefing meeting by a representative who must be the Tenderer himself or an authorised person in the direct employment of the Tenderer.

SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS

At no cost in electronic format via e-mail to those who attended the tender briefing or downloadable from the SANRAL website on the Electronic Supply Development Desk portal https://sanralesdd.co.za on Friday 9^th May 2025. The file will contain an electronic copy of the tender document in PDF format and Bill of Quantities in EXCEL format. Volume 3 will be a bound signed paper copy containing the following documents, returnable schedules relevant to the project and Pricing Data.

Electronic submission (USB) the 1st file in pdf format which contains a scanned copy of Form of Offer (pdf), scanned copies of all returnable schedules and attachments (pdf), scanned copy of Pricing Schedule (pdf). The 2nd file in Excel format which contains completed pricing schedule

Late arrivals to the compulsory information briefing meeting will not be allowed access, and therefore will not be allowed to submit a tender.  Such tenders received, shall be deemed non-responsive.

CLOSING TIME, COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

And shall be hand delivered by hand to 5 Park Street, Kenhardt, 8900 between the hours 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday up until the closing date Friday, 06 June 2025 at 10:00am.
