BVi Consulting Engineers Western Cape (Pty) Ltd were appointed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) for the Periodic Maintenance on National Route N2 Section 9 between Witelsbos I/S (km 37.00) and Kareedouw I/C at km 55.30. The project section of N2-9 is situated in the Kou-Kamma Local Municipality, part of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province.

The periodic maintenance will most probably take the form of appropriate localised repair and pre-treatment of the existing surface followed by the construction of an appropriate surface seal and/or asphalt overlay. A road safety audit is therefore required to assess the roadway and recommend any additional design considerations or required changes for Stages 3 and 5 of the project.

Firms with road safety and traffic engineering experience are therefore invited to submit a quote to undertake an independent road safety audit. A clarification meeting will not be held, but it is essential that prospective tenderers familiarise themselves with the site.

Tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Office 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software. Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1: Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender prior to 7 (seven) days post the tender advertisement date. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

The closing time and date for submission of quotations is 11h00 on Friday, 06 June 2025 Only quotation offers submitted electronically on CD/flash drive and delivered to the address specified in the Tender Data will be accepted. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Quotations may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Quotation Data.
