ILEMBE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

Good Purpose Construction (Pty) Ltd invites experienced EME and QSE subcontractors to tender for subcontracts on Contract SANRAL N.002-279-2019/1 FOR THE ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTE 2 FROM SECTION 27 KM 1.85 TO SECTION 29 KM 53.57 IN THE ILEMBE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY AND UTHUNGULU DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the Ilembe and King Cetshwayo District Municipalities. Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted areas, namely the KwaDukuza, Mandeni, uMlalazi, uMhlathuze, uMfolozi Local Municipalities.

Tenders should have a CIDB contractor grading as stated in the table above under CIDB requirement, or higher. Potentially emerging enterprises who satisfy criteria stated in the Tender Data may submit tender offers. CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be applicable to this contract.

Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

  1. At least 51% Black owned
  2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE)
  3. Registered with the South African Revenue Service
  4. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  5. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for a CE class of construction work
  6. Have a valid B-BBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit
  7. Registered to the Bargaining Councill (BCCEI).

 

SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS

Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software.

Tender documents may be collected at the compulsory tender clarification briefings whose details are below.

 

Tenderers must submit, via email to portia@gpconstruction.co.za, the duly completed form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days after the tender clarification briefings. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being deemed non-responsive.

TENDERER’S BRIEFING

A compulsory tender clarification briefing with representatives of the Project Management Team, will take place at Ebandla Hotel, Ballito at 10:00am on 8 July 2025.

A representative, representing multiple tenderers will be deemed non-conforming and the evaluation committee reserve the right to disqualify the representative, and the tenders submitted.

Late arrivals will not be allowed, and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive.
