FOR THE ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTES R56 SECTION 1 (KM 58.78) TO SECTION 2 (KM 30.81) AND NATIONAL ROUTES R58 SECTION 1 (KM 36.96) TO SECTION 3 (KM 55.73) AND NATIONAL ROUTE R391 SECTION 2 (KM 0.0) TO (KM 37.09) AND NATIONAL ROUTE R390 SECTION 2 (KM 23.56) TO (KM 34.46)

 

TENDER NOTICE  

CLOSING DATE:  17 OCTOBER 2022 AT 11:00  

QTC Civils (Pty) Ltd invites experienced EME and QSE sub-contractors to a tender briefing session for Contract              

NRA X. 003-044-2019/1 for the National Routes R56 Section 1 (km 58.78) to Section 2 (km 30.81) and R58 Section 1 (km 36.96) to Section 3 (km 55.73), R391 Section 2 (km 0.0 to km 37.09) and R390 Section 2 (km 23.56 to km 34.46).  The total distance is approximately 260.67 km on behalf of QTC Civils (Pty) Ltd in accordance with the requirements of The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL).

 

This project is in the Eastern Cape Province, under Walter Sisulu Local Municipality in the Joe Gqabi District Municipality.  

 

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Walter Sisulu Local Municipality, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract package.  This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system.  

 

Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

 

  1. B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor. 
  2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
  3. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). 
  4. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

a) Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and b) Tax Compliant.

Note to Tenderers:

 

  1. QTC Civils (Pty) Ltd will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.
  2. Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.

 

Subcontractors with intension to tender for the above-mentioned packages MUST respond to the email address burgtenders@gmail.com and state the package they are interested in, no later than 30th September 2022. Subject on email must read “Intention to Tender” 

A compulsory information briefing meeting and a training session will take place at the Burgersdorp Town Hall on Tuesday, 04th October 2022 at 11h00 where prospective Tenderers shall meet the Contractor.  

Tender documents will be made available at the information briefing in the form of a USB.  The USB will contain an electronic copy of the tender document, in PDF format.  Only the documents within the folder named “Returnable Document” must be printed, bound and completed with all the relevant supporting documents attached.

 

Tenderers must be represented at the information briefing meeting by a representative who must be the Tenderer himself or an authorised person in the direct employment of the Tenderer.

 

Late arrivals to the compulsory information briefing meeting will not be allowed access, and therefore will not be allowed to submit a tender. Such tenders received, shall be deemed non-responsive.  

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

“Sub-Contract NRA X. 003-051-2019/1 for the above listed packages” (relevant sub-contract name -SC1, -SC2, -SC3,     -SC4, -SC5, -SC6, -SC7, -SC8, -SC9, -SC10, -SC11 and shall be delivered by hand to the Site Office at 2A Chase Street, Burgersdorp.  

 Note:  Telephonic, telegraphic, telex, facsimile, e-mailed or electronic applications will not be accepted. 

The Tender Documentation for all packages in this Tender Notice shall reach the stipulated address no later than 11h00 on Monday, 17th October 2022.
