Imbawula Civil Projects on behalf of SANRAL is looking to employ the services of a Social Facilitator/Project liaison officer for the N2/N3 Training Project:

The position is linked to the SMME Training on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency for the Eastern Region's National Route 2 and National Route 3 Upgrades.

Location:

The Job requires extensive traveling with own reliable transport and more importantly to the affected communities and developing an agreed community consultation approach that will assist with engaging with the community. The successful applicant will work for hand in hand with all project stakeholders also - attending to issues related to the N2/N3 training project in and around the following Municipalities: uMkhambathini Local Municipality, uMsunduzi Local Municipality, eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, and uMngeni Local Municipality.

Purpose of Position:

To assist the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited, and Imbawula (Project Management Team) in the dayto-day liaison with the communities affected by the project.

Reports to:

Imbawula Civil Project (Project Manager)

Person Profile:

Good interpersonal skill and at good standing with the relevant communities. Stakeholder Management knowledge, as well as report writing skills and computer literacy is a prerequisite.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 matric certificate qualification or equivalent qualification,

• Previous experience as a Project Liaison Officer will be preferred and /or worked on previous community projects.

• Valid Driver’s license.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in isiZulu and English.

• Must have experience engaging with Communities and other Stakeholders (negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship building).

• Must have working knowledge of taking minutes of meetings and must be computer literate (MS word, Excel and Power Point). Hardware will be provided at the Site office

Duties Include:

• Plan, coordinate and implement community liaison activities for N2/N3 Training Project.

• Promote active participation and involvement of stakeholders, including beneficiary communities throughout the Project life cycle.

• Build strong relations and liaise with the relevant communities to facilitate and improve communication amongst all role players.

• Provide all the support necessary for the N2/N3 training project PLC to be effective in its rendering of an efficient and effective service.

• Facilitate N2/N3 training project PLC meetings, attendance registers and sign off of stipend forms.

• Must have a vehicle to travel anywhere required by the N2/N3 training project.

• Must be able to travel between all affected municipalities as and when required

• Must be available from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday

• Perform any other duties that may be delegated by the Project Management Team and ensure successful implementation of the project.
