Construction sector development is a significant component of the CIBD’s mandate. As per the CIDB Act, the organization must promote best practice across all stakeholders in the sector value chain to enhance performance and productivity and promote Contractor development. The SANS 1393 standard was developed at the request of the CIBD, public and private sector clients are encouraged to procure work from Contractos that are certified in accordance with this standard.
