UNDER CONTRACT SANRAL N.003-010-2017/9 FOR THE CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS ON N3 SECTION1 FROM WESTVILLE VIADUCT (KM11.8) TO PARADISE VALLEY INTERCHANGE (KM 17.57)

T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (SBD1)

AQUAEXR JV (PTY) LTD invites tenders from experienced EME/QSE subcontractors for the Construction of Work Packages as detailed below for THE CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS ON N3 FROM WESTVILLE VIADUCT (KM11.8) TO PARADISE VALLEY INTERCHANGE (KM17.57) endorsed by The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL). This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal in the district municipality of EThekwini Metro Municipality.

Only tenderers who comply with the definition of a Targeted Enterprise under clause 2.1.1 and are at least 51% Black owned and who is an EME or QSE or a cooperative, are eligible to tender.
Only tenderers who meet the minimum functionality score as stated in clause C3.11.1 will be evaluated further on price and preference. It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation as indicated in the table below. The tenderers attention is drawn to clause 2.1.1 of the Tender Data for each work package when submitting their tender.

Tenders from tenderers registered as potentially emerging enterprises but with a CIDB contractor grading designation lower than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered, or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, will not be accepted. Only locally produced or locally manufactured goods with a stipulated minimum threshold for local content and production as stated in the Tender Data will be considered. Preference is offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time for receipt of tenders will be as per above table at 39 Alexander Road Westmead Pinetown KZN. 

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, and late tenders will not be accepted.
