Afrostructures (PTY)Ltd invites experienced EME and QSE subcontractors to tender for subcontracts on SUBCONTRACT NO: SANRAL N.002-250-2020/3- SC5/SC6/SC7 CONTRACT NAME: THE REHABILITATION OF B112 – SARNIA ROAD GRADE SEPARATION ON N2 SECTION 25, KM 11.4 IN THE ETHEKWINI DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY
This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the eThekwini District Municipality. Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely, Ward 65, eThekwini Municipality.
Subcontractors are required for the following packages:

CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be applicable to this contract.
Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:
1. At least 51% Black owned
2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE)
3. Registered with the South African Revenue Service
4. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
5. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for a CE class of construction work
6. Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA)
7. B-BBEE Level 1-4
8. Tender documents may be requested in an electronic format via e-mail from 14 November 2022 during the hours 08:00 AM to 16:00 (Monday to Friday).

10. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office© 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software.
Rates of Wages and Conditions of Labour Requirements
The subcontractor shall be registered with the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry (Government Notice R.490 – Part III in Government Gazette No. 37750) and rates for Wages and Conditions of Labour agreed by the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry shall apply to the Subcontractor except where a specific industry publishes its own Wage Rates and Conditions of Labour.
TENDER CLARIFICATION BRIEFING
A compulsory tender clarification briefing with representatives of the Project Management Team will take place on the 21 November 2022 at 09:00. Tenderers must register for the Compulsory Tender Clarification Briefing by completing Form A1.1 - Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender which is found in the tender document. The completed form must be sent to sarnia@afrostructures.co.za by 18 November 2022 at 12:00. An Invitation will be sent only to tenderers who return Form A1.1. Failure to submit this certificate may result in the tenderer being deemed non-responsive. Tenderers are required to bring a hard copy of FORM A1:CERTIFICATE OF TENDERER’S BRIEFING to the briefing to be signed by Afrostructures on the day.
TENDER SUBMISSION
The closing time for submission of tenders is Tuesday, 11:00 AM on 29 November 2022. Tender documents must be submitted electronically only to sarnia@afrostructures.co.za. The tender results summary will be sent to all tenderers via e mail upon completion of the collation of the results. Only the below listed elements of the tender document must be returned on the submission:
