King Civil Engineering Contractors (King Civil) is procuring subcontractor for the installation of concrete v-drains on the project and would like the community to tender on the below requirements.

The details of submission are as follows:

Closing Date & Time: 2023-02-23 @ 10:00am

Estimated Start Date: April 2023

Location: 

1. Electronically per email to R573@kingcivil.co.za. All emails should have the company name and tender number in the Subject Line. All attached files must contain company name as file name.

2. Physical delivery to site yard where tender will be deposited in the tender-box. Tender box is in the security office which will be at the entrance of the site-yard at physical address: Stand no JR16 Kwaggafontein (Old brick yard). Please ensure to sign the tender register upon depositing your tender document. All tender documents must be sealed in a single envelope clearly stating your company name.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Only the abovementioned email address must be used. No other submission on any other electronic platform will be considered.
• The entire application should be on one email as one PDF file or in one envelope for hand submisson. The submitted file should be clearly marked with your company name. Please write your company name on each page that is submitted. Unmarked / unamed files will not be processed.

           e.g.: file name Sithole-Construction-BOQ or Sithole-Construction-company registration CK documents.

• Only one form of submission should be made, whether by email or by hand. If you make an email submission, your physical submission is not necessary, and visa-versa. No more than one submission will be accepted.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Trimming of excavations for concrete-lined open drains
• Cast in situ concrete lining for open drains (class U2 surface finish)
• Formwork to cast in situ concrete lining for open drains (class F2 surface finish)
• Sealed joints in concrete linings of open drains
• Steel reinforcement (welded steel fabric)

GENERAL:

• This subcontract agreement is subject o the conditions of the Main Contract, which are FIDIC Conditions of contract for Construction as amended by the Main Contract.
• All construction (works and materials) to comply with Engineers' Specifications as prescribed by COLTO, SABS and indicated on detailed drawings provided.
• Experience in the abovementioned activities is required.
• All sub-contractor employees should be issued with relevant personal protective equipment (PPE), which will be considered included in the sub-contractors' rates.
• Employees (LDC's) to be remunerated as per sectoral determination at a base rate of R44.79/hr (September 2022) on a 9-hour-per-day shift.
• Interested bidders must note that the contract is of a temporary nature. Service providers will be appointed on an as-and-when-required basis. Poor performance may lead to contract termination.
• BOQ's will be made available.

SUBMISSION:

Documentation required from all interested service providers are as follows:

1. Statutory Requirements

a. Business registration cerificate

b. B-BBEE certificate, or fully completed sworn affidavit

c. Valid Tax clearance certificate if applicable or Tax pin

d. Letter of good standing - Workman's Comp. The successful tenderer will be given an opportunity to apply for the COID ac.

e. Proof of residence (water and lights account, letter from local municipality or traditional authority).

f. Letter from the bank or cancelled chequw (verifying banking details)

g. Certified copy of owner's ID along with the undersigned authorising the signatory of the sub-contractor to sign all documents in connection with the bid.

h. CIDB grading

2. Supporting Documents:

a. Company profile, clearly indication physical address of the sub-contractor.

b. List of references and contact details.

c. Schedule of employees.

3. Additional documents that will be required once successful:

a. Safety file.

Note that the items listed above are compulsory and failure to submit on time will lead to disqualification.
