T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (SC1A-E; SC2A-C; SC3A and SC4A)
VEA ROAD MAINTENANCE & CIVILS (PTY) LTD invites tenders from experienced EME/QSE subcontractors for Contract SANRAL NRA X.002-093-2019/1 Routine Road Maintenance of National ROUTE R23 FROM PIXLEY KA ISAKA SEME MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY OVER STANDERTON TO MPUMALANGA/GAUTENG PROVINCIAL BOUNDARY, S27 (R51) FROM VAALDRAAI INTERCHANGE TO MALANSKRAAL AND R35 FROM PIXLEY KA ISAKA SEME MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY TO LEKWA MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY.

The approximate duration is 12 months. CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be applicable to this contract.
Only tenderers who are at least 51% Black owned, who is an EME/EME start up or QSE and meet the definition of a Targeted Enterprise as defined in C3.2.2.5 are eligible to tender.
Only tenderers that meet all the eligibility criteria under clause 4.1.1 of the Tender Data will be considered.
Only tenderers who meet the minimum functionality score as stated in clause 5.11.9 will be evaluated further on price and preference.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation as indicated in the table above:
Only locally produced or locally manufactured products and components for construction with a stipulated minimum threshold for local content and production as stated in the Tender Data will be considered.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.
A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the compulsory meeting.
SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS
Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software.
For collection of tender documents please contact the PLO Mr Thabo Motloung on 076 532 9220, where tender documents may be collected from 19 July 2021 during the hours 09:00 to 16:00, alternatively a dropbox link will be created and the link will be shared with the SMMEs on our database. Furthermore the documents will obtained from Sanral’s online portal www.sanralsmme.co.za. Tenderer must fill in the tender collection register upon collection of tender. Tenderers are to schedule an appointment for the collection of documents by contacting elias.m@vearoad1.co.za
Tenderers must submit at the above address with the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.
Please be advised that the route will not be traveled and that it will be the responsibility of each tenderer to acquaint themselves with the route and its condition.
TENDERERS’ BRIEFING
A compulsory tender clarification briefing with representatives of the Project Management Team will take place on Monday 19 of July 2021 at 10:00 , Due to Covid-19 lockdown regulations the tender clarification presentation will be shared with the SMMES as from the above mentioned date 19th of July 2021 until the closing date on the 29th of July 2021.
Tenderers are to schedule an appointment for the collection and/or viewing of documents by contacting elias.m@vearoad1.co.za . Tenders from Late arrivals will not be allowed, and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive.
CLOSING TIME, COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS
All tenders are to be submitted at the address stated above and the closing time for receipt of tenders is 12:00 on 29 July 2021.
Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data.
