TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1)

CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00):     Monday, 12 May 2023

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) on behalf of Kahaar Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd invites Joint Ventures between suitably experienced, SANAS accredited laboratories and Targeted Partners for undertaking site laboratory testing in accordance with SANS 3001 for the Special Maintenance of National Route 14 Section 8 from Kuruman (km 0.00) to NW/NC Border (km 54.56). This project is in the province of the Northern Cape and in the district municipality of John Taolo Gaetsewe. The approximate duration is 16 months, commencing in June 2023.

Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.

The tenderers will be evaluated on functionality (quality) criteria with a threshold of 65%.

Joint Ventures (JV) shall be required with the Lead Partner being a suitably experienced, SANAS accredited laboratory and the Targeted Partner being a Targeted Enterprise as defined in the tender data.

Only tenders that comply with the following B-BBEE contributor status levels are eligible to tender:

  • The Joint Venture shall have a consolidated project specific B-BBEE scorecard of status Level 1 or 2 B-BBEE contributor for every tender.
  • Lead Partner must have a B-BBEE contributor status level of 1 or 2 or 3 or 4.
  • Targeted Partner must have a B-BBEE contributor level of 1 or 2.

Tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Office 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software.Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender prior to Tuesday, 11 April 2023.  Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

TENDERER’S MEETING

No compulsory tender clarification meeting will be applicable to this tender.

 

 

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on Friday, 12 May 2023.

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.
