Construction of the Idabakazi Intermodal Interchange on the National Route N2 section 17 (km23.4)

1. WBHO Construction would like to invite possible suppliers to provide a quotation on G1 and G5 material for the Ndabakazi project.
2. Tender opening date 7 June 2023.
3. The estimated quantity of G5 material is aimed at 30 000m3
4. The estimated quantity of G1 material is aimed at 12 500m3
5. Price only to include material supply (No transport).
6. Before any material are removed from borrow pit or mine it must be noted that the material must conform to material specifications. Both the onsite laboratories and external laboratories must be in agreement on the material tests.
7. It would be preferred that material are sold on the basis of weight thus weighbridge slips, however if this function is not available it will be 70% of truck capacity per load.
8. The following documentation will be a requirement for the supplier to be considered and must be attached:

1. Valid Letter of Good standing.
2. Proof of company registration.
3. BBBEE Certification indicating the relevant type (Women, youth, disabled and men).
4. Tax Clearance Certificate.
5. Proof of registration with the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
6. Bulk/ Wholesale licencing ( Quarry permits)
7. Proof of experience
8. Proof of banking details (not older than 3 Months)

9. Find attached the material specifications.
10. All potential suppliers will be scored on a point system taking into account Locality, Bulk/ Wholesale licencing (quarry permits), relevant experience and designated groups. A score of at least 75% is required to be considered, As part of the SANRAL developing of businesses. See Annexure A the breakdown of this system.
11. Tenderers that obtain the minimum threshold for functionality shall be further evaluated on their Price and Preference submissions.

1. Price = 90%
2. Preference = 10%

12. Tenderer may not be awarded two projects at the same time on the project. Should tenderer have the best price on two packages one of the packages will be awarded to the second most point scoring economic tenderer.
13. Compulsory tender clarification meeting will be held at WBHO site office in Ndabakazi at 12:00 15 June 2023. Failure to attend the meeting will result in a tender rejection.
14. Price to be submitted no later than 12:00 21 June 2023
