1. INTRODUCTION

Mikros Traffic Monitoring (Pty) Ltd for CONTRACT SANRAL 53000/1002/2022/LT, hereby invites current and prospective sub-contractors to apply to be registered on the Subcontractor Database.  The database is intended to ensure that the companies registered will receive tender notices and other information and will further assist the contractor to determine the expertise and skills available and will enable them to plan Target Enterprise tender packages around what is available in the area.

Please take note that sections 2, 3, 8 and 9 are only provided as information required for the tender and does not need to be completed during this process.

Prospective subcontractors need to make use of the Expression of Interest period to prepare themselves for the tender that will be advertised as indicated above.  The scope of the work is set out as follows:

FOR THE PROVISION OF A TRAFFIC MONITORING SERVICE USING TYPE C1 MONITORING SYSTEMS ON SANRAL FREEWAYS:

This project takes place in across South Africa. Subcontractors are required at SANRAL freeways for the following subcontract work packages:

• Package A: Northern Region
• Package B: Eastern Region
• Package C: Southern Region
• Package D: Western Region

The works involve the following but not limited to:

• Battery changes
• Sensor sealing
• Assist in equipment installation and configuration
• Assist in sensor installation
• Identifying communication related problems
• Fault finding on power connections
• Fault finding on electronic traffic monitoring equipment
• Manual data extraction
• Cleaning of site
• Grass Cutting
• Accredit as a TMH3 Traffic Monitoring System Service Provider with Mikros Systems equipment

It is envisaged that the maintenance on stations will commence after successful TMH 3 Service Provider certification.

1. The application forms must be submitted through e-mail in pdf format.
2. All the required and supporting documentation must be submitted jointly with this form.
3. The information referred to in section 4 BUSSINESS INFORMATION REQUIRED below is an indication of what information is required for your business to be registered.
4. Business registration and information sections are pre-requisites for registration and therefore must be completed in full. Failure to complete this section will lead to your business not being registered.
5. Declaration by business under oath in section 10 DECLARATION is compulsory and must be completed in full by all sub-contractors.  Failure to comply with this requirement will lead to your company not being registered
6. The Employer reserves the right to validate all information supplied and any misrepresentation of facts may lead to disqualification and potentially being restricted to do business with other spheres of SANRAL and/or other organs of state.
7. A duly completed form together with supporting documentation must be emailed to the address indicated above. The Employer will not accept faxed forms.

9. The Targeted Enterprise Manager will inform the sub-contractors of the status of their submission by email.
