MAMLAMBO CONSTRUCTION invites experienced EME and QSE sub-contractors to collect CDs for Contract R.342-010-2018/1 for the SPECIAL MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTE R342 SECTION 1 FROM NGUNI LODGE (KM14.55) TO PATERSON (KM24.53) on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL). This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape and in the district municipality of SARAH BAARTMAN.
Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Sunday’s River Valley Local Municipality, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract Package. This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference Points system. Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:
a) B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor.
b) Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
c) Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
d) Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevant contractor grade and class designation.
An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:
e) Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and
f) Tax Compliant.
Sub-contractors are required for the following subcontracts:
Package 8 - 1 x pedestrian walkway (2CE)
Package 10 - 1 x road signs(1CE)
Package 11 - 1 x finishing the road and road reserve and treating old roads(1CE)
Package 15 - 1 x installation/removal of existing road studs permanent/temporary(1CE)
Note to Tenderers:
a) MAMLAMBO CONSTRUCTION will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary. \
b) Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.
c) Potentially Emerging (PE) Enterprises with a CIDB contractor grading designation lower than the requisite grading designation will be permitted to bid on work packages at the following grading level.
d) Note that any successful tenderers on Contract X003 will not be able to tender on Contract R342 as to increase the number of beneficiaries in the affected area.
THERE WILL BE NO COMPULSORY INFORMATION BRIEFING MEETING. THE TENDER DOCUMENTS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON CD TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ALONG WITH A PACKAGE INFORMATION BRIEFING.
Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and acrobat adobe©,or similar compatible software.
The physical address for collection of tender documents is SINAKHO HALL KWAZENZELE Location, PATRESON, where tender documents may be collected from THURSDAY, 27th OF JANUARY 2022 during office hours 09:00 to 16:00. Tenderers are to schedule an appointment for the collection of documents by contacting mkayton@tvrgroup.co.za.

Tender documents will be made available at the information briefing in the form of a CD. The CD will contain an electronic copy of the tender document, in PDF format. Only the documents within the folder named “Returnable Document” must be printed, bound and completed with all the relevant supporting documents attached.
Tenderers must be represented by a representative who must be the Tenderer himself or an authorised person in the direct employment of the Tenderer.
Tenderers who do not collect or request tender documents through e-mail will not be allowed to submit a tender. Such tenders received, shall be deemed non-responsive.
The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:
“Sub-Contract R.342-010-2018/1 for … ” (relevant sub-contract name, e.g., HAULAGE OF ROAD STONE and shall be delivered by hand to Corner R342 & Bruton Street, Paterson, 6130 between the hours 09:00 to 16:00 during working days Monday to Friday.
