2022/1-B2020/07 FOR THE REPAIRS TO BRIDGES B1025, B2020 AND B42 ON NATIONAL ROUTE
2, SECTIONS 29 AND 32.
This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the City of uMhlathuze Local Municipality.
Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted areas, being the areas under the
City of uMhlathuze Local Municipality.

CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be applicable to this contract.
Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:
1. At least 51% Black owned
2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME)
3. Registered with the South African Revenue Service
4. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
5. Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for a CE class of
construction work
6. Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA)
7. B-BBEE Level 1-4
8. Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on request via email. Tenderers must
have access to Microsoft Office© 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software.
Tender documents may be collected from our site office at 9 Peseta Parade, Richards Bay, from 21
March 2024 during the hours 09:00 to 16:00 (Weekdays). Tenderers are to request documents by
contacting Melusi Mkhize at melusi.mkhize@dalekatrading.co.za (e-mail).
A compulsory tender clarification briefing with representatives of the Project Management Team for
Grade 1CE will take place on 04 April 2024 at 09:00, at Bhejane Community Hall, Nseleni Township and
05 April 2024 at 09:00, for Grade 2CE. Hard copies of Tenders will be available on this day if requested
in advance.
The closing time for submission of tenders is Friday, 12 April 2024, at 11:00 for Grade 1CE and
Monday, 15 April 2024, at 11:00 for Grade 2CE. The tender opening will be held at 9 Peseta Parade,
Richards Bay, at 13:00 of the submission date for each tender. Tender documents may be deposited
in the tender box located at 9 Peseta Parade, Richards Bay from the 05th of April 2024 to the closing
date for each tender.
