SUB-CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NDABAKAZI INTERMODAL INTERCHANGE ON NATIONAL ROUTE 2 SECTION (KM 23.4)

TENDER NOTICE  

CLOSING DATE:  15:00, 04 June 2024

WBHO Construction invites experienced EME and QSE sub-contractors to a tender briefing session for sub-contracts part for the N.002-170-2013/1 Construction of the Ndabakazi Intermodal Interchange on the National Route N2 section 17 (km23.4) on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL).  This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape and in the district municipalities of Amathole and Mnquma local municipality.

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely the Mnquma Local Municipality , as well as the CIDB grade of 1CE/SQ or 2CE/SQ.  This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system.  Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

1. Valid B-BBEE certificate
2. Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
3. Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

4. Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and e) Tax Compliant.

Sub-contractors are required for the following subcontracts:

1. Package 5

2 x 1CE/SQ or 2CE/SQ for the Installation of Fencing.

Note to Tenderers:

1. WBHO Construction will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferred tenderers if necessary.
2. Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontract will be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.
3. Tenderers to supply all the required documentation in order to be considered.

A tender information briefing session will take place AT THE WBHO WORKSHOP LAYDOWN AREA

(INTERSECTION OF R409 & N2, CLOSE TO BP GARAGE/TSHAYELA HOLDINGS FILLING STATION (14km outside of Butterworth towards East London) coordinates (-32.3485891, 28,0313835) on the 24 May 2024 at 11h00  where prospective contractors can meet with the contractor. Tender documents will be made available in a hard copy at the briefing session. 

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

“Sub-Contract to N.002-170-2013/1 – Construction & Installation of Fencing” shall be delivered to WBHO Site Camp coordinates (-32.342263, 28,077310) (9km outside of Butterworth towards East London) between the hours 09:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.

The Tender Documentation for this Package in this Tender Notice shall reach the stipulated address no later than 15:00 on 04 June 2024.
