FOR THE SPECIAL MAINTENANCE OF THE STRUCTURES AND DRAINAGE ON AN ADHOC BASIS ON NATIONAL ROAD NETWORK IN THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN CAPE PACKAGE 1 to 7.

                                                                              TENDER NOTICE
CLOSING DATE: 17th of June 2024 AT 12:00pm
Stefanutti Stocks Western Cape invites experienced EME and QSE sub-contractors to a tender briefing session for Contract X.005-021-2018-1A – S1/S2/S4 for the SPECIAL MAINTENANCE OF THE STRUCTURES AND DRAINAGE ON AN ADHOC BASIS ON NATIONAL ROAD NETWORK IN THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN CAPE. This project is in the province of the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

Preferences are offered to prospective tenderers from the targeted area, namely Western Cape and Northern Cape where applicable, as well as the CIDB grades and classes indicated for each sub-contract package. This tender will be evaluated in terms of functionality as a criterion and the price and preference points system. Tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders:

a)B-BBEE Level 1 or 2 contributor.
b)Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME) or Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
c)Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
d)Registered as “active” with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in the relevantcontractor grade and class designation.

An award will only be made to preferred Tenderers that are:

e)Compliant with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COID); and
f)Tax Compliant.
Sub-contractors are required for the following subcontracts:
1.Packages 1

1 x Minor works- Cleaning, grubbing and Minor concrete works (CIBD 1 CE and 2 CE)

2.Packages 2

1 x Gabion construction (CIBD 1 CE and 2 CE)

3.Packages 3

1 x Concrete works and Reinforcements with demolition of existing (CIBD 1 CE and 2 CE)

Note to Tenderers:

a)Stefanutti Stocks Western Cape will reserve the right to negotiate feasible rates with the preferredtenderers if necessary.
b)Tenderers may submit tenders for all sub-contracts in this Tender Notice, but only 1 (one) subcontractwill be let per preferred Tenderer at any one time for this project.

A compulsory notification of intention to tender must be sent to the following email address Adhoctenders@stefstocks.co.za , stating the package/s on which the subcontractor wants to tender before the 30th of May 2024. This is important as Addendums will be communicated to prospective tenderers that has notified to tender. Failure to do so will lead to tender being declared as non-responsive. A SharePoint link will be made available, and communicated with the prospective tenderers which acknowledge to tender.

Tender documents will be made available by a SharePoint link. The link will contain an electronic copy of the tender document, in PDF format. Only the documents within the folder named “Returnable Document” must be printed, bound and completed with all the relevant supporting documents attached.

Tenderers must be represented at the information briefing meeting by a representative who must be the Tenderer himself or an authorised person in the direct employment of the Tenderer. The meeting will not be compulsory, but it is advisable for the tenderer to attend the briefing. The date, time and location will be made available by email. (Suitable venues will be used and based on the notification to tender).

The tender and supporting documents shall be sealed in an envelope and clearly marked:

“Sub-Contract .005-021-2018-1A – S1/S2/S4 for the Minor works- Cleaning, grubbing and Minor concrete works (Swellendam) and Gabion construction (Swellendam) and Concrete works and Reinforcements with demolition of existing (Swellendam) shall be delivered by hand at Gaikou Lodge on the 17th of June 2024 between the hours 09:00 to 12:00. Pricing will be opened and called out via teams meeting link to the prospective tenderers.

Note: Telephonic, telegraphic, telex, facsimile, e-mailed or electronic applications will not be accepted.
The Tender Documentation for all packages in this Tender Notice shall reach the stipulated address no later than the prescribed time and date mentioned above.
