FOR THE REALIGNMENT OF NATIONAL ROUTE 3, SECTION 2 FROM KEY RIDGE (KM2.8) TO HAMMARSDALE (KM 8.825)
T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (SBD1)
WBHO CONSTRUCTION (PTY) LTD invites tenders from experienced EME/QSE suppliers for Contract SANRAL N.003-020-2017/7 FOR THE REALIGNMENT OF NATIONAL ROUTE 3, SECTION 2 FROM KEY RIDGE(KM 2.8) TO HAMMARSDALE (KM 8.825) endorsed by The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL). This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the eThekwini Municipality.
The approximate duration for this work package will vary. Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database at the closing date for tender submissions and who comply with the definition of a Targeted Enterprise under clause C.2.1.1 and are at least 51% Black owned and who is an EME or QSE or cooperative, are eligible to tender.
Only tenderers that meet all the eligibility criteria under clause C.2.1.1 of the Tender Data will be considered. Only tenderers who meet the minimum functionality score as stated in clause C.3.11 will be evaluated further on price and preference
SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS
Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format via share drive from 3pm on 24th June 2024. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software.

A tender clarification briefing pre-recorded video and training presentation are available to be downloaded via share drive from 3pm on 24 June
2024.
COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS
The closing time for receipt of tenders is 15:00 on 8th July 2024. Only tender offers submitted electronically uploaded to share drive as specified in the Tender Data will be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data.

2.1 For Provision of Rehabilitation Works on the Alternate Routes (Green Route [intersection of Thousand Hills Str and R103 to intersection of R103 and Kassier Rd] & Red Route [Cliffdale Rd]).
• A portion of the works will be executed at night – i.e. night shift works. Therefore, tenderers are to submit an Extra – Over rate for ‘night shift work per asphalt team’ – see BOQ, SCHEDULE B: NIGHT SHIFT.
• The tenderer is to include all associated costs for carrying out the scope of works at night in compliance with all statutory OH&S and other obligations. • Notice of night shift work requirements to be provided to the tenderer one (1) week in advance.
